About Us:Kingstown Works Ltd (KWL) was established in 2006 and we operate as one of Hull and East Riding’s leading building, repair and maintenance contractors.Electrician - About the Role:You will carry out various electrical duties ranging from and dependent on chosen electrical section and your key responsibilities will be;
  • To locate and rectify electrical faults, carrying out maintenance and installations and installing electrical equipment to a standard which ensures the user’s safety and the satisfaction of the end user and client.
  • To carry out electrical work in numerous locations each day with both remote supervisions. It will be necessary to travel using a company vehicle as required.
  • To maintain a knowledge and understanding of Company electrical specifications, policies and procedures, BS7671 IEE Regulations, the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, C.O.S.H.H. Regulations along with Codes of Practice and other relevant legislation withinthe Company’s Safety Policy.
  • Dependant on works area to participate as a member of the Company’s out of hours call out team
  • To work effectively in conjunction with other trades in order to ensure that work is carried out to the relevant standard within timescales while customer satisfaction is maintained at the highest level.
  • To aid and assist with the development of apprentices, work experience placements, new starters etc and to assist with the development of their skills, qualifications and competencies.
  • To accurately complete all relevant internal and external documentation such as electrical installation and test certificates NICEIC, vehicle check sheets, material requisitions, job completion sheets to ensure legal requirements are adhered to and accuratefinancial/property records are maintained in an auditable system.
  • To discuss work related electrical issues directly with customers on site with a professional and diplomatic approach in order to determine their exact requirements.
  • To drive and be responsible for company issue van stocks, power tools, test kits, plant and tool, access equipment and PPE.
Electrician - Skills & Experience:
  • It is essential that you hold your ECS Gold card OR are willing and eligible to obtain this
  • 18th edition and qualified to current amendments
  • ECS Electrical installation gold card
  • Full valid driving license
