Job Description

Electrical Maintenance Engineer - ShiftsElectrical Shift EngineerHumberside / Kingston Upon HullPermanent, full-timeSalary £32,000 per annum plus 15% Shift AllowanceShift pattern is 4 Days on and 4 Days Off; Nights then Days. 12 Hours. Resourcing Group are an award winning recruitment agency for the built environment and key partners to some of the UKs leading property development and facilities management organisations. We are working in partnership with a very well known service provider who provide national FM coverage to some of the UKs leading organisations.In this instance, they are acting as the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Service Provider for a large Manufacturing and Development site in Hull. The site has its own unique set of manufacturing systems which fall within this remit so we are ideally seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a nice mixture of Facilities Management and light Industrial experience across LV and HV power supply; general building services; Air Handling Units; Large Boiler / Heating Systems; alarm and emergency lighting maintenance; etc.The site requires 24/7 coverage so the team of 8 onsite engineers work a four on, four off 12 hour shift pattern covering nights and then days.Key Responsibilities

  • To carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works to building plant, factory equipment and systems in accordance with agreed service levels, and respond to site engineering emergencies.
  • To undertake small installation works, repairs to electrical systems and front line maintenance support for mechanical systems.
  • To respond to Building Management System alarms, and effect emergency repairs as needed.
  • To issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems.
  • To ensure that all electrical systems are maintained to NICIEC standard including requirement of HVAP status.
  • To ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
  • To ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices
  • To ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes.
  • To ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.
  • To provide holiday shift cover when required so that a full team is on shift throughout the year.
  • You will report into the Site Supervisor.
    • The Candidate:
  • We are seeking Electrical Maintenance Engineers with a proven track record in Facilities Maintenance (Commercial or Industrial Sites).
  • You will be NVQ III / AM2 Certified and possess 17th or 18th edition coupled with extensive LV and HV experience.
  • AP Status for LV or HV would be advantageous.
  • Additional experience on mechanical systems (AHUs, Boilers, Compressors, Pumps, Motors etc) is required.
  • Health and Safety training to CCNSG Safety passport level is preferred.
  • Experience of large manufacturing or process facilities would be beneficial.
  • You will be comfortable working shift patterns.
  • You will be a great team player with a great fault finding and problem solving pedigree.
