As Development Engineer, you will be given the chance to take a concept through all stages of development throughto final product. The role requires you to work collaboratively within a multidisciplined team, as well as be able to own solo projects.This position has superb variety and you join an established, and well-funded department focussed on the future.As Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new products and improving in life products for their next generation. This department is looking at the future and want to engage with passionate engineers who share their values.Development Engineer role & responsibilities:* Product development from concept to production.* System design and specifications generation* User interface design and testing* Testing and validating product throughout the product development cycle and after launch* Supporting troubleshooting during trial phases* Hardware and software bug reporting* Collaboration with projects teams and engaging with other engineering functions as required* Build understanding of the customer markets to improve development focus on best fit* Work closely with product management and marketing to fully understand the product/customer needs* Coaching and mentoring of junior team members This position is well suited to someone who:* Has a Degree in Engineering, Design or a related discipline* Has a keen interest in product development and gadgets* Experience of project management * A high level of intelligence with the capability to digest information rapidly* Demonstrates sound problem-solving abilities and ability to think outside the box* An outgoing and confident personality with the skills to build and maintain positive working relationships quickly* Possesses strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with colleagues from other departments* Solid and reliable team playing skills* Good organisation, time management and prioritisation skillsConsortium Professional Recruitment Ltd are a professional level recruitment consultancy specialising in the delivery of high relevance recruitment services on behalf of our clients across the UK.
