Job Description

Were not just a company; were a community dedicated to providing the best for less.The Role:Join our vibrant team at the Melton Distribution Centre as a Despatch Administrator. This is a critical, full-time position where youll work early shifts, ensuring our stores receive their orders on time and in perfect condition. Youllhave the opportunity to contribute to our continued success and play a vital role in our logistics operations.Key Responsibilities

  • Covering all shop order processing duties on the early shift including dispatching orders and prioritising the order well.
  • Issuing tickets that are ready to the loading team.
  • Inputting loading tickets, creating dispatch notes both for B&M shops and drivers delivery notes.
  • Allocating relevant trucks / trailers to correct deliveries taking into account any restrictions including size of trailer / make of cab etc.
  • Informing shops via email of any potential issues on that days delivery so they are able to shuffle and re-plan staffing levels around expected delivery schedules.
  • Supporting with the picking operation if fully staffed in the office at busy periods if the pick is behind.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in IT, with a strong grasp of Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience in an administrative, data entry, or transport / logistics roles is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A valid driving license is essential due to the need to travel between sites.
