We enjoy workingclosely with customers to co-develop bespoke products, in our well-equipped Customer Innovation Centre.About the roleAAK are seeking to recruit a Control Engineer to join our Projects Team, based in Hull. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing and maintaining equipment and systems which are used to monitor and controlengineering / manufacturing systems, machinery and processes, including within ATEX areas. This role ensures these systems and processes operate effectively, efficiently, and safely.Responsibilities• Responsible for designing and developing new control systems for the business, including within ATEX areas.• Test, maintain and modify existing systems to ensure they are fully effective, efficient and safe.• Analyse data and present findings in written reports, suggesting improvements and highlighting concerns where appropriate.• Working collaboratively with other functions and roles, including but not limited to design engineers, operation engineers, process engineers, operators, purchasers and other internal and external stakeholders.• Project management within cost and time constrained environments for your area.• Ensure there is an understanding and compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards for your areas of control. Providing advice and support to the business when required.• Purchase relevant equipment and resources required, within budget constraints.About you• Time service electrical/ control instrumentation apprenticeship is essential.• Compex EX 12 qualification is essential• Previous industrial experience working within ATEX environment (explosive atmospheres) is essential.• Degree qualification in relevant field preferred, but not essential• Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of electrical engineering; ability to design, install and implement electrical systems, including within ATEX areas.• Effective Communication• Resource Management• Confident Decision Making & Critical ThinkingIn return AAK offer:• 10% non-contribution pension.• Bonus scheme.• UK Healthcare scheme.• 25 days holidays plus bank holidays.• Group life cover.• Group income protection scheme.• Ride2Work scheme.About AAKEverything AAK does is about Making Better Happen™.
