Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group is currently recruiting the role C&I Engineer to join a fantastic design consultancy near Hull.This is a great opportunity for a C&I Engineer to join a multi-disciplined team of creative, forward-thinking, technical specialists.My client provides front-end engineering and design support to a variety of customers across the Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Pharmaceutical sectors.The C&I Engineers duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Production of technical drawings and documents (including calculations) with minimal supervision.
  • Managing the project team and providing detailed instructions for the requirements of technical documentation.
  • Reviewing documentation produced by other disciplines and providing detailed comments.
  • Providing weekly project progress updates to the discipline Lead Engineer.
  • Offering accurate time estimations to complete set tasks and deliverables for sales estimation and project planning.
Elevation Recruitment Group are keen to speak with C&I Engineers who have demonstrable skills and experience in:
  • HNC/HND or a degree in instrumentation and control or an equivalent qualification.
  • Membership in a professional body and working toward chartership if not already chartered.
  • Having a minimum of 2 years of experience in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or chemical design in a similar role within an engineering consultancy or contracting business, preferably across all stages of a project (Concept/Feasibility, FEED, and Detailed Design).
  • Experience in junction box and cable routing design
  • Design of LV electrical circuits with compliance to BS 7671.
  • Hazardous area design and the implementation of protection methods following IEC 60079 standards.
  • Functional safety according to IEC 61508.
  • Machinery safety in compliance with IEC 60204.
