We are looking for a well-motivated, enthusiastic Biomedical Scientist to complement our existing team and provide a diagnostic service for the Hull and East Yorkshire area. Candidates should be registered with the Health Care Professions Council, and should ideally have post registration experience. Our busy department is UKAS accredited as well as HCPC and IBMS accredited for training, offering experience in a wide variety of Histopathology techniques. The laboratory, which was custom built in May of 2000 is spacious and very well equipped. We provide the Histopathology requirements of a population of over 500,000 in the Hull and East Yorkshire areas and receive around of 40,000 surgical cases per year. We have an extensive immunocytochemistry service which includes Her2 testing, and we also provide a regional neuropathology service. Hull is a large City with motorway links via M62 or Humber Bridge to the rest of the country. In addition, the City and surrounding areas offer a wide variety of leisure pursuits.
