Job Description

Assistant AccountantHull£22,000-£26,000 + Study Support + BenefitsChase & Holland are excited to be exclusively partnering with a highly successful FMCG company based in Hull who are seeking a driven and motivated Assistant Accountant to join their friendly finance team. This is fantastic opportunity to work closely withthe Management Accountant in this varied role and be a key player in driving the business forward.Assistant Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of group Management Accounts including detailed variance analysis
  • Accruals, prepayments and posting journals
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Maintain and post multicurrency cashbooks
  • Large intercompany reconciliations
  • Prepare and submit weekly cashflow
  • Monthly VAT
  • Oversee Sales Ledger and Credit Control
  • Post intercompany invoices to Purchase Ledger
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Actively studying ACCA/CIMA or AAT Qualified wishing to continue studies
  • Experience in a similar, varied accounts role including assisting with Management Accounts
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • IT literate including Excel
  • Proactive, self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
