Job Description

Sales / Applications Engineer £30,000 - £40,000 + BonusCommutable from Hull, Hessle, Barton, Brough, Cottingham and Beverley28 Days Annual Leave + Bank HolidaysGrafton Recruitment are working with an established Engineering company as they continue to expand and recruit for a Sales/Applications Engineer.The role will be working with the aftermarket sales team, managing the technical evaluation stages of the sales process. This role is key in identifying any potential technical problems and working with the sales team to provide efficient solutions and ensureexcellent customer service.The Role:

  • To create sales opportunities based on customers business needs
  • Develop excellent knowledge of company products and technologies
  • Provide customer support on site, performing regular presentations and demonstrations, inspecting equipment
  • Maintain accurate records with customer pipeline and upcoming projects
  • Respond to the technical elements of proposals
  • Develop a solid understanding of customer requirements through long-standing relationships
You will need:
  • Several years experience working in either customer service, sales support or project management
  • Ability to travel internationally as required - second language advantageous
  • Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering Degree advantageous
  • Solutions driven attitude and ability to work well with customers
  • Project Management experience
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to interpret contacts
  • Experience preparing SAP quotations and service calls
  • Ability to adhere to strict company health and safety policies
  • Very professional attitude and dedicated work ethic
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills as well as SAP Business One or similar ERP system
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD - Sharepoint advantageous
