Job Description

Do you want to be part of an innovative, dynamic service that is committed to delivering the best care by the best people We are looking to appoint an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to our CAMHS Crisis Team, who is as passionate about high quality care as we are.We believe our children, young people and their families who are experiencing emotional and mental health distress should be able to access the right support, in the right place, at the right time.We are looking for a Nurse with experience of working with young people with mental health difficulties in a mental health urgent care/ crisis setting to undertake the role of Advanced Nurse Practitioner working alongside the Clinical Team Leader.The service operates 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week mainly between the hours of 7am-7.30pm Monday to Friday but must have the flexibility to work outside these hours when required.The role will include providing clinical leadership to a team of Band 6 Specialist Nurses, Band 4 Assistant Practitioners and Band 3 CAMHS Support Workers, offering clinical supervision to staff, ensuring high standards of practice, compliance with policies and record keeping, participating in ongoing team and service development and have a desire to maintain their clinical skills by delivering high quality, evidenced based assessment. The team currently provides short term interventions to children, young people and families in acute mental health crisis but there are plans to develop a home treatment offer as part of this team.
