Prestige Recruitment Specialists are currently looking to appoint an Accounts Payable Analyst for a world leading chemical manufacturer based at Salt End Hull.This role is responsible for the accounts payable. You will have had experience within a pure accounts payable role and will be looking to actively participate in a fast paced, highly motivated, top performing Finance team and have had prior exposure to monthend processes.The role is initially for 3 months but with the possibility of extension, at a rate of £12.50 per hour but can be negotiated depending on experience, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.Duties & Responsibilities:Manage invoice flow ensuring all invoices and credit notes are processed promptly, accurately within SAP AP Workflow and in accordance with the Delegation of AuthorityEnsure invoices are routed to the appropriate department, assigning the correct cost centre, WBS elements and GL account in accordance with Company policyWorking with Procurement team, maintain vendor master data in SAP with approved authorisationReview open purchase orders to ensure balances are current and payable, resolve any aged balancesLiaise with internal and external parties to resolve any issuesCandidate Requirements5+years practical experience in a multi-disciplinary accounting team, and AAT qualifications or equivalentSolid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principlesExperience working with SAP AP WorkflowHighly numerate with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailConfident user of MS Excel with hands on experience with spreadsheetsAble to manage ad hoc project support work alongside day to day accounts payable processes and deadlinesEffective communicator, written and verbal, with good negotiation skillsStrong organisational skills with a flexible approachAble to demonstrate extensive customer service experience, together with business partneringKeen to drive innovation and seeking to improve processes where appropriateExperience working in the Petrochemicals /Energy sector is useful but not essential
