Due to internal promotion, this employer has a great opportunity for a talented, ambitious Weaving Shift Manager to join their Weaving Team. This will be a rotating role.The purpose of the role is to take full ownership of all processes, people, machines and floor space within the dobby, jacquard, tuning and inspection areas. This includes overall responsibility for shift supervision, planning, organising, control, improvement projects and motivation functions.Responsibilities include but are not limited to- Improving team performance- Ensuring the effective use of staff in all areas of the weaving team- Administration of production figures- Supporting and improving Heath and Safety within the area- Quality control and prevention initiatives- Training and development of your team- Ensuring all the necessary personnel functions are carried outTextile knowledge, including loom tuning, weaving and management of teams is a requirement for this role.Textile and management related qualifications will be a great advantage in addition to your proven experience.This company is an award-winning UK textile innovator, independently owned, specialising in the design and manufacture of contract upholstery fabrics for commercial interiors and mass passenger transport.
