Job Description

Warehouse OperativeHuddersfield (HD4), West Yorkshire£18,772 - £22,500 per annum depending on experience.Permanent, with immediate start for the right personThe CompanyWayland Additive Limited is a West-Yorkshire-based company pushing the boundaries of electron beam 3D printing. Waylands goal is to develop, manufacture and sell metal Additive Manufacturing (AM - 3D printing) machines to industrial end-users such as majorplayers in the aerospace and medical industries. Waylands technology is based around highly sophisticated evolutions from the worlds of scanning electron microscopy and electron beam lithography. As a result of these innovations, the machine will offer higher productivity, unparalleled process monitoringand control, and versatility in materials.About the Warehouse Operative role:Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the smooth running of the goods in/stores department.
  • Ensure all paperwork and materials relative to each job are correctly completed and traceable at all times.
  • Visual inspection of incoming vehicles.
  • Ensure goods are wrapped. Labelled and stored appropriately.
  • Full compliance with the organisations health and safety policy for all team members and self.
  • Ensuring the working environment is clean and tidy and that it complies with the company H&S requirements policy.
  • Locating and kitting goods received.
  • Willingness to learn and follow set company procedures.
Experience, knowledge, and skills required:
  • Basic IT and a working knowledge of inventory management.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Ability to work methodically. Quickly and accurately.
  • Excellent time management skills and exceptional work ethic.
  • There will be a requirement to stand and occasionally lift heavy items.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently where required.
  • FLT license desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrate experience of inventory management or experience in a warehouse or packing environment is desirable.
  • Training will be given in using safe handling of material equipment.
Your contract and benefits on starting:
  • Salary £18,772 - £22,500 per annum depending on experience.
