Job Description

Transport Planner - Huddersfield - Up to £30,000!An independent and successful Transport company based near Huddersfield are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their team.You will be working with a small team of Planners, routing company owned vehicles UK wide.If you have Pallet Network experience - Please apply now!If you have General Haulage experience - Please apply Experienced Transport Planner required.The Package:Up to £30,000Monday - Friday28 days holidayThe Role:

  • Transport planner will be routing company owned vehicles
  • You must Plan routes as cost effectively as possible
  • It is the Transport Planners responsibility to plan routes in line with WTD and Drivers Hours
  • Transport Planner will ensure all customers are kept up to date
  • All necessary admin must be completed
  • You will be working with the Operations Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with company standards
  • Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, queries in accordance with the companies requirements.
The Requirements:
  • Extensive Transport route planning skills
  • Pallet Network is experience preferred
  • Excellent geographical knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
