If you are an experienced Roof Truss, Posi Joist or Engineered Timber Designer, we would like to discuss this opportunity.The role is working with Pasquill, the largest supplier of trussed rafters in the UK, with a nationwide network of design and manufacturing sites, supported by local knowledge and service. For this role in particular we are looking for someone with the following skill set;

  • Proven experience in Roof Truss, Posi Joist or Engineered Timber Design and sales.
  • Experience using Mitek Pamir (preferred) or similar software.
  • CAD design experience (essential).
  • Understanding of building regulations and relevant legislation (preferred).
  • Effective questioning and listening skills to identify customer requirements.
  • Commercial understanding of margin and profit.
  • Time management skills and able to prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also able to work alone.
  • Be able to demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills.
What will I be doing in the roleOur Truss Designer will be involved in delivering profitable sales and development of customer platform through outstanding customer service and design excellence. This is really important to our success and a critical part of our customers positive experiencewith us. In this role you will;
  • Manage a customer portfolio and produce high quality designs for customers within given timescales
  • Produce customer quotations.
  • Identify actions to improve conversion rate of quotations.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise sales opportunities by asking for add on sales.
  • Make pre and post quote telephone calls to customers.
  • Make post-delivery phone calls, using the opportunity to identify areas for improvement to our service.
  • Build good relationships with customers; make them feel valued.
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints using problem solving techniques.
  • Carry out sales and margin analysis by customer, customer segment and product.
