Support Coordinator Kirklees Homeless Service, HuddersfieldPart time (30 hours per week), PermanentSalary of £19,300 to £20,250 pa Plus, brilliant Benefits!Empowering customers to live rewarding and happy lives. We support our brilliant customers who are aged 22+, are homeless or at risk of being homeless and need support. They live in a fabulous supported accommodation service which has 20 rooms and2 crash pads. We also have lots of other rooms such as shared kitchens, a TV/games room, a workshop and even a gym!We support our customers with all different types of needs-some quite complex, to achieve their goals. This could be supporting with budgeting and benefits, training, addressing substance misuse issues, mental health and even practical support such as cookingon a budget. Our manager isLianne, she has worked for Home Groupfor 13 years and has lots of experience working with different customer groups.There are14of us in the team including support coordinators, support workers, night support workers, concierge, a cleaner and an activities worker. We dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too!We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. Youll work on a rota basis between the hours of 7am and 9pm.We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend doing the thingsthat matter to you!About youYoure passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.Youll help change our customers lives (and our services) for the better by undertaking risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews. Youll create bespoke and personalised support plans with and for your customers. Each plan willlook to meet our customers individual needs and aspirations, making sure they meet safeguarding and confidentiality requirements. Youll also have responsibility for coordinating our support workers, apprentices and volunteers, and working collaborativelywith external agencies, to assess and engage support for our customers....
