Job Description

Supervising Social WorkerProject Phoenix Ltd is a Family Residential Assessment Centre Located in Huddersfield. We are a small centre which house up to three families.We are currently recruiting for an experienced social worker to join our team. Your role will include offering advice and support to help parents set their own goals and to work towards achieving those changes that will improve their lives to allow children to grow and develop within their own families.As an experienced and registered social worker, you will have significant front-line experience in a safeguarding team. You will be focused on helping children and families to change their lives for the better. We require candidates who have recent supervisng experience of case work in Assessments, Child Protection, Children Looked After and Care Proceedings and ideally PAMS trained.This role requires a qualified experienced social workerAs The Supervising Social Worker you will:

  • Be involved in recruiting, training and supporting Family Support Workers
  • Support the organisation in ensurijng that the service is run in line with legislative requirements
  • Have highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice
  • Experience a varied and challenging role
  • Have shared responsibility for leading observations of the Family Support Workers
  • Play a key role in researching and sharing up to date social work practice
  • Create a clear vision for the future
  • Ensure the best outcomes for children and their families
  • Possess strong written and verbal skills as you will need to prepare and deliver weekly reports and Parenting / PAMS assessments
  • Essential requirements:
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • A social work qualification
  • Extensive previous post-qualified experience
