This specialist manufacturer with international recognition for quality and service has a new role for a Shipping Sea Freight Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role that really empowers the post holder to drive commercial initiatives that seek to achievecustomer satisfaction and seek to drive supply chain solutions.Providing excellent customer service at all times to internal departments and external customers. The Shipping Sea Freight Procurement Manager will be responsible for the procurement of Shipping Sea Freight distribution services worldwide.The Shipping Sea Freight Procurement Manager is a commercial position that will manage the sourcing, selecting and purchasing of logistics services and insurances to ensure the companys operational and distribution needs are met.Taking into account price, quality and safe and effective distribution to ensure OTIF delivery and continuity of supply. Building relationships with shipping lines to achieve the most overall cost effective solution. Negotiate contracts, service agreementsto improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and hauliers.Overall summary of duties:* Undertake a review of logistics Solutions Services for OTD of products to regional networks and customers* Identify new / alternative suppliers and negotiate to agree commercial requirements: prices, quantities, delivery schedules* Build effective stakeholder relationships across Logistics and cross functional divisions* Develop, create and maintain standardised framework, supply agreements and purchasing specifications* Review opportunities to make holistic business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
