Job Description

SEND Support WorkerStafflex Education work in close collaboration with a Further Education College who require SEND Support Workers. With centres across Kirklees, the college requires enthusiastic, adaptable, and compassionate individuals to support their learners with additionalneeds.You will be working with the colleges most vulnerable SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities) students to support their learning, achievement and progression into adulthood. You will have to develop supportive relationships with students and deliverstrategies to promote/reinforce student self-esteem. You will be required to provide physical and personal care support.As a SEND support worker you must have previous experience of working with young people in an educational capacity and must understand EHCPs and SEND. You will need excellent communication and digital skills and be able to work under the direction of theclass tutor and use your own initiative.You must have minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C).Due to the nature of our work, its essential youre committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.Stafflex can offer you:

Requirements to work with Stafflex
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
