Reporting Accountant - Well established, successful business in the Huddersfield area

Job Description

Reporting Accountant - An exciting time for an ambitious Finance professional to join a successful organisation intent on significant growth over the coming years.This role will be supporting the Head of Accounting working alongside Senior Finance people in the business. This is a positionwhere you will be expected to crunch the numbers but also provided added value and insightful advice and recommendations acrossthe organisation. This will include liaising with Senior Finance members and key stakeholders across the business and the wider Finance Communities.The key objective is to facilitate the structure, analysis and reporting of financial information in order to meet monthly reporting both at local and group level in line with published reporting requirements and deadlines.

• Supporting the Reporting team with balance sheet, cost centre and functional reporting for month end within SAP/BWP and LTS (Management Reporting System). This will include working capital commentary for balance sheet (Debtors, Creditors, Inventory) andProfit and Loss Account thereon as required.
• R&D Business Partnering. Providing support for the R&D Exec. Member and department. This will include budgeting and forecasting support as well as on-going cost centre reviews.
• Supporting month end reporting including WD4 close of local ledgers, submissions to Group and related submissions thereon.
• Responsibility for the Monthly Business Review MBR pack pages of NWC key KPIS, Operating P&L commentary and drivers thereon. Supporting the team and Reporting Manager for submission of MBR to Group/UK CFO
• Ownership, preparation and reconciliation of relevant balance sheet reconciliations within all UK legal entities
• Ownership of Cash flow planning and Liquidity Submissions to Group Treasury. Working alongside Head of Transactional to provide working capital and receipts and payments analysis. Commentary and understanding of drivers and variance to actuals thereon.
• Ownership of Capex and fixed asset reporting. This will include Intangibles and assets under construction review, IFRS & UK GAAP reconciliation and IFRS16 Lease reporting. Supporting Tech ops. Projects and spend thereon.
• Supporting the year-end audit process, statutory accounts preparation and deliverables thereon. Being able to translate from IFRS to local UK GAAP reporting within this area. This will include efficiencies and learnings from previous years are implemented.
• Meeting the requirements of Group reporting on both a regular and ad hoc basis as required
• Ongoing review of current processes to ensure we have effective processes and working practices. To implement continuous improvement and have strong and robust internal controls in place. The measure of this will be a strong Green rating by internal auditas well as minimum external audit management letter points.
• Working alongside off-shore colleagues for their delivery of month end close and standard reports

Key Requirements:

• Graduate degree qualification
• Qualified - ACA, CIMA, ACCA or QBE with relevant experience
• Be able to take instruction for a project. Work independently and proactively to achieve the required outcomes
• Ideally experience with SAP or similar business and sales reporting system
