Job Description

The Quality Engineer will work with Operations to identify, investigate and resolve non-conformances. They will pull reports to generate data and be solutions lead in how they make processes more efficient.Client DetailsThe client is a successful fast-paced manufacturer based in Huddersfield.DescriptionThe Quality Engineer will:

  • Work with Operations to identify, investigate and resolve non-conformances
  • Hold business accountable for quality ensuring requirements are met
  • Coach and engage employees to produce the highest level of quality
  • Ensure identified improvements are executed
  • Provision of data to feed quality metrics to drive continuous improvement processes
  • Resolve supplier quality issues and improve supplier quality performance
  • Undertake site visits to review issues encountered in delivery and installation phases
  • Assure quality readiness through development cycle of new products, defining appropriate standards
  • Define inspection checks for each production phase
  • Utilise key Quality & CI tools and methodologies including 8D, 5 whys route cause analysis and Standard Work
  • Manage internal & external audits in accordance with ISO accreditations
ProfileThe successful Quality Engineer will have:
  • Experience working in Quality in an industrial or FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with managing NCRs - investigation and resolution
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Experience of quality improvement tools including 8D, 5 whys, root cause analysis, including holding improvement events (Kaizen)
  • Understanding of Lean Principles
  • Six sigma qualified
  • Ability to undertake presentations and training workshops
  • Excellent communication skills and able to influence shop floor teams
  • Experience of Supplier / Internal / External Audits
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Advanced IT skills
