Job Description

Quality Control Engineer Huddersfield (HD4), West Yorkshire£35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience.Permanent, with immediate start for the right personThe CompanyWayland Additive Limited is a West-Yorkshire-based company pushing the boundaries of electron beam 3D printing. Waylands goal is to develop, manufacture and sell metal Additive Manufacturing ("AM" - 3D printing) machines to industrial end-users such asmajor players in the aerospace and medical industries. Waylands technology is based around highly sophisticated evolutions from the worlds of scanning electron microscopy and electron beam lithography. As a result of these innovations, the machine will offer higher productivity, unparalleled process monitoringand control, and versatility in materials.About the Quality Control Engineer role:Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Facilitates continuous improvement quality activities to reduce the potential for defects, and ensures continual improvement in process and product design.
  • Ensures products and process development meet quality standards.
  • Participates in change management activities by verifying products and processes, developing key measures, and analysing data for decision support.
  • Conducts audits of processes and quality systems.
  • Carry out key inspection of key components at goods inwards using CMM inspection arm.
  • Generation of NCRs to report design issues.
  • Carry out supply chain quality audits.
  • Data collection and data reporting to highlight repeat issues and focus areas for improvement activities.
To be a success in this role you will need:
  • Experience in Seven Step / Root Cause Analysis / MRB / APQP.
  • Experience in Logistics and Supply chain within a Quality function.
  • Experience in working with clients and customers to identify and quantify defects in a supply chain manufacturing environment.
Your contract and benefits on starting:
  • Salary £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience.
