Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is unwavering.We are looking for an Electrical - Quality Assurance Technician / Engineer to be based at our Huddersfield Head Office. You will oversee and enhance our product quality standards, with the aim to reduce return rates reduction for product-related issues acrossall Electrical OEM lines.You may have worked as a: Quality Assurance Technician, QA, Quality Assurance Manager, Appliance Repair Technician, Domestic Appliance EngineerWe’re offering a competitive salary of up to £45,000 dependent on level of experience, with a great range of benefits.As a Quality Assurance Technician / Engineer you will play a crucial role in reducing customer returns by:

  • Investigating technical product problems to uncover root causes.
  • Disassembling faulty returned items to identify component-level failures.
  • Creating detailed technical reports for senior management and factories.
  • Proposing innovative technical solutions to address product issues to the OEM sourcing team.
  • Collaborating with factories worldwide, with a strong focus on China.
  • Analysing company return rates to pinpoint products requiring investigation.
  • Regular communication with senior stakeholders
  • Reviewing pre-shipment and sample inspection reports to address any QA concerns.
  • Leading goods-in QA inspections.
Were looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with the following experience:
  • Understanding and interest in how products work and are built, especially home appliances.
  • Experience in electrical appliance repair and/or manufacturing.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and manage workloads effectively.
  • A customer-centric mindset to enhance product usability.
  • Strong attention to product and written detail.
  • Proficiency in IT systems such as MS Office.
  • Excellent written skills to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Confidence to share findings and proposals with both 3rd parties and senior management.
  • Decision-making skills and commercial awareness.
  • A team player who fosters open and honest communication.
  • Constantly seeks ways to optimize work processes for greater efficiency.
  • Takes personal responsibility to deliver results with enthusiasm.
  • Experience in a continuous improvement environment is a plus.
About you:
  • A degree in the Manufacturing, Electrical, or Engineering sector would be desirable but not essential
  • Experience working with ISO 9001:2015 processes.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements for Electrical Home Appliances.
  • Experience with F Gas.
