Job Description

QC Production OperativeCompany: PMA LtdLocation: SlaithwaiteHours: 37 hours per week£28,000Benefits: 25 days Holiday and Company PensionAbout Us:PMA Ltd, with over 50 years of experience, is a leading supplier to the UK Water Industry. Were seeking a diligent QC Production Operative to join our dynamic Reagents Manufacturing Laboratory team in Slaithwaite. This lab-based role involves collaborationwith three other production operatives, operating under the guidance of the Operations Director and Production Manager, with a clear path to becoming a Lab/QC Manager.For the ideal candidate, theres an opportunity to step into the role of QC/Lab Manager, overseeing all aspects of our QC and/or Lab production area.   • Accurate analysis, interpretation, and reporting of results for our products
  • Lab-based production of simple buffers and reagents
  • Additional training will be provided as necessary
Candidate Requirements:
  • Ability to work effectively within a small team to meet production requirements
  • Effective time and workload management
  • Potential to take responsibility for the QC of the lab production area
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Desirable Skills and Qualifications (Training Provided):
  • Experience with IC (calibration, basic maintenance, sample analysis)
  • Wet chemistry analysis (Titrations, colorimetric analysis, pH, conductivity, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Quality Management System structures
  • Proven ability to improve standards and effect change within the production environment
  • Experience with water analysis chemistries
Key Duties:
  • Collaborate efficiently within the small Production Team
  • Ensure all products are manufactured within specification
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of Manufacturing and Testing procedures
  • Maintain traceability of all Manufacturing & Analytical Records, and ensure Lab Equipment is well-maintained and calibrated to meet ISO9001 and regulatory responsibilities
  • Generate Certificates of Analysis (C of As)
