Job Description

Exciting opportunities have arisen at a West Yorkshire based Local Authority. We now require an experienced Project Manager who is able to specialise in the project management and delivery of Electric Vehicle infrastructure and EV uptake projects.This role will be the lead for EV infrastructure and a point of contract at forefront of developing and expanding the EV charging network across the Council alongside other statutory functions.Role Information

  • Salary £40,876 - £42,821
  • Contract - 12 months FTC
  • Flexible & Remote
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Group Leader to deliver Electric Vehicle infrastructure projects on time, to a budget with regular updates to project sponsors and boards.
  • Communicate with a range of stakeholders including internal officers, senior managers, Councillors and Cabinet Members as well as EV suppliers and neighbouring authorities
  • Support the development and implementation of the Council EV Strategy as well as WY EV Strategy
  • Contribute to the development of business cases promoting innovative ideas related to EV charging challenges including solutions to tackle EV inequalities, ensuring equitable access and positive consumer experience for Council charging network
  • Deliver both Council and government funded EV charging infrastructure and support programmes with support from project officers
  • Remain up to date with emerging legislation and guidance for the rapidly changing and growing EV landscape, including advising managers as required.
  • Ensure that the service provides Councillors, internal stakeholders, residents, and businesses with expert EV infrastructure advice, to dispel myths, promote EV uptake,
  • Work with anchor institutions to support infrastructure delivery or with businesses to promote ideas such as destination charging and charge and shop in aid of economic recovery.
Essential Criteria
  • Prince 2 Qualification
