Job Description

Elevation Recruitment are currently working with luxury furniture manufacturer to recruit a Production Manager, based at their site in West Yorkshire.Reporting in to the Head of Operations, the Production Manager will manage a team of 35 production & warehouse operatives, whilst overseeing aspects of the manufacturing process and the factory.The Production Manager responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Promote a safety first culture whilst ensuring a safe working environment and supporting the team with any safety concerns
  • Plan, control and co-ordinate factory workload and workforce to ensure maximum efficiency and meet OTIF targets
  • Monitor and achieve output requirements and KPI’s, ensuring you are fully utilising resources
  • Ensure all products meet requirements and adhere to agreed quality standards
  • Management and motivation of your team, including spotting and addressing all training needs and promoting continuous improvement
  • General people management including, attendance management, performance assessments and recruitment of new team members
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
  • Demonstrable management experience within a manufacturing business
  • Knowledge and experience of the furniture industry would be an advantage
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and able to motivate and direct a team
  • Strong Health and Safety understanding – ISO 45001
  • Must be highly organised and able to prioritise workloads
  • Good I.T. skills, along with demonstratable systems experience and be a high-level user of bespoke systems
