Pre-Press / Graphic Designer based in Huddersfield, £18-£22K depending on experience, 31 days holiday.Aura Print is a rapidly growing specialist digital printer based near Huddersfield town centre. We are a family owned business employing 15 people and have a turnover in excess of £1M. New products and overseas markets are driving our growth and we need an additional experienced pre-press operative to aid our future growth plans. If you are passionate about print and have a keen eye for detail we want to hear from you.This is a great opportunity to work for a dynamic business that has exciting, innovative products and vision and is growing internationally.The Role:As a core member of our studio you will be responsible for pre-press file checks of print-ready files. There will also be occasions when you can let your creative juices flow by producing designs for customers that require our professional design service.You will support the customer service team to assist with technical enquiries from customers.You will support the production team to assist with any necessary file manipulation required to facilitate trouble free production.The Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate will be an all-round creative with proven experience in a busy pre-press and studio environment working to tight deadlines.You will have extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, pre-flighting and pre-press solutionsYou will be able to quickly spot and fix customer errors with artwork.You will work closely with our customer service and production departments to resolve any queries and generate future-proof solutions and you will possess the following attributes:* Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills* Fast preparation of print-ready files from customer supplied artwork* Working to the highest quality standards* Close attention to detail in a rapid moving work environment* A solutions-focused problem solver offering continuous improvement to production and workflow whilst maintaining high levels of quality* Excellent communication, both verbal and written* Great team player with a positive focus* Ability to uphold our company values of a family-owned business that goes above and beyondAdditional experience in any of the following would be advantageous but not essential:* Digital design* Knowledge of litho, digital and large format printing methodsIf the above sounds great and you’d love the opportunity for your good work to be recognised by a forward thinking, growing business with emerging overseas markets then get in touch.Aura Print is a busy but fun environment where ideas and suggestions are valued and welcome and somewhere you can wear your jeans every day of the week.
