Job Description

Porter, Catering, Cleaning, DBS Required, Public Sector and Government, HuddersfieldClient DetailsA well known public sector organisation with a high demand currently for temporary support staff.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the interim Porter position is as follows:

  • 24/7 rota - out of 9-5 hours will be required to work
  • Responsible for the transfer of patients to wards and departments (often unaccompanied) by means of wheelchair, trolley or bed.
  • To deliver case notes and clinical equipment that the patient may need and transfer safely.
  • Ensure effective communication with members of nursing staff and patients and adhere to Confidentiality policy at all times.
  • To collect and deliver goods, and supplies from central stores to wards and departments.
  • Collection of Food trolleys from Kitchen to wards - breakfast, lunch etc.
  • Transportation of ultrasound machines, crash trolleys, gas cylinders and other items as required.
  • Changing of gas cylinders and flow meters when required and appropriately trained including gas cylinders in the Medical Gas Manifold.
    • ProfileThe successful candidate will have full DBS check already in place and will have strong experience in a porter position. Theyll be immediately available to work and be available for at least 2 months.Job OfferThe successful Porter will be offered the following:
  • £8-10 per hour
  • Holiday pay
  • 24/7 rota, 37.5 hours per week
  • 2 month contract minimum
