You are advised to complete your application as soon as possible.Part time and full time position available, however this must be tailored to the services needs.This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of phlebotomists working for the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.We provide a high standard blood taking service in several different venues across Huddersfield, Calderdale and Kirklees.We are looking for individuals who must have evidence of a good level of education (please see job specification) along with a determination to deliver compassionate care. Past experience of working in health care setting is essential and venepuncture skills are desirable.This is a demanding job with the main purpose of the role involving taking blood from patients on the wards and in our busy outpatient clinics throughout the Trust, in General Practitioners Surgeries and patients homes.You must have the ability to work under pressure and be able to meet travel requirements of the post. There is an emphasis on working within a team and being a team player. You also need to be confident working alone once full training and competence has been achieved.This is a seven day service and there is a requirement to work at weekends and bank holidays as per the service rotas between the hours of 07:30 – 20:00. However the service requirements are continually changing to meet with needs of our patients so flexibility is a key component.Relevant posts will be subject to an appropriate DBS disclosure.
