Job Description

I am delighted to be recruiting for a well established manufacturing business in Huddersfield as they look to recruit an Operations Manager to join their team. The Operations Manager will be responsible for driving through the culture on site and establishing key production targets, with a view to progressing into a more senior position in the future.Client DetailsMy client is a forward-thinking manufacturing company with a reputation for high quality and service capabilities. Due to recent growth in the business, they are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join the team in Huddersfield to drive through key improvements within the manufacturing function of the business.DescriptionAs the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the full site including manufacturing, maintenance, quality, planning and logistics.
  • Managing the production team and ensuring key outputs are maintained, along with developing new KPIs to assist the business.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders internally to drive through improvements within the manufacturing department.
  • Taking the lead on key continuous improvement projects as well as assisting on CAPEX initiatives.
  • Commercial and budgetary responsibility and accountability for site performance.
    • ProfileThe successful candidate must:
  • Be from a Production or manufacturing background with strong knowledge of engineering practices.
  • Be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and understanding.
  • Be comfortable and accustomed to assimilating multiple different positions and roles within an SME business.
  • Have had experience within an injection moulding manufacturing environment previously.
  • Be technically qualified within engineering (degree or equivalent qualification is desirable).
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be comfortable with liaising at board and shop-floor level.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and has demonstrated success of lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
