Our client, a leading FMCG manufacturer, seek to appoint a Maintenance Engineer with health and safety knowledge to their engineering team. Working permanent days, reporting in to the Maintenance Manager, the appointed Maintenance Engineer with health and safety knowledge will work closely with the production department to increase OEE, respond to breakdowns as and when they occur, and make suggestions for continuous improvement. They will have a good understanding of Environment, Health and Safety and experience of working in an engineering team. On offer is an excellent working environment, generous benefits, and a culture of promoting from within.Maintenance Engineer - Role & Responsibilities - Maintenance Electrician, Environment, Health, Safety- Work in a reactive maintenance engineering team- Have an excellent understanding of Environment, Health and Safety- Respond to breakdowns- Carry out PPMs and organised maintenance activity- Carry our continuous improvement activity- Understand lean manufacturing principles- Work to reduce downtime and improve machine capabilityMaintenance Engineer - Skills & Abilities - Maintenance Electrician, Environment, Health, Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH- Time served or C&G qualified as a minimum- Electrical bias preferred- Multiskilled with minimum 10 years experience in a fast moving automated manufacturing environment- Strong fault finding skills. Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic. PLC fault finding advantageous but not essential- 24VDC/415/240v control and electrical systems experience- Holding a NEBOSH or an IOSH would be advantageousFacilities and Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Engineer, Supervisor, Breakdown, Fault Finding, Lean Required skills
