Junior DesignerHuddersfield, West YorkshireWorking Hours: Monday - Thursday, 08.45-17.00, Fridays 08.45-16.00 (40 hrs p/w)Salary: £19,000+ depending on experienceBenefits: Up to 30 days holiday (FTE), Sportswear discounts, early finish Fridays, pension schemeOur Client is a market leader in design, sourcing, distribution, and promotion. Specialising in apparel, footwear, and accessories, our Client nurtures a range of high-profile consumer brands in both the UK & International markets, creating outstanding productranges with authentic brand identities.About the RoleOur Client is looking to recruit a Junior Designer to support the design team, working on design briefs and duties as directed by their line manager.Key Responsibilities

  • Providing timely and versatile support to the design team, taking responsibility for the performance of design projects, producing professional design deliverables (including design direction, CAD range boards, detail CADs and branding sheets).
  • Keeping up to date with market trends, as well as fabric, trim, and production techniques, integrating this into design projects and sharing knowledge so that creative ideas can be pooled for the benefit of the team.
  • Maintain and develop working relationships with development, commercial, and sales teams, ensuring development and sales team are kept up to date with projects and work is handed over effectively at the appropriate time.
  • Working closely with commercial team to ensure design work is price appropriate and timelines are understood.
Functional and/or Technical Skills
  • Excellent adobe illustrator skills
  • Ability to design and present apparel and graphic design using adobe illustrator
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Highly organised
  • Ability to create clear and professionally presented range boards, detail cads and brandings
