Job Description

Junior Business Analyst | RemoteWorking Options | Tech4Good | £25,000 - £30,000Do you want to help build something that helps change peoples livesWant to work in the tech4good space If so then this is the opportunity for you!We are looking for a Junior BA who is interested in joining a successful and highly regarded Edtech company on their mission to better the outcome of students.You will already have demonstrated some good business analysis skills but my client will take the time to train and mentor you to be the best of the best.Working as part of an agile, Scrum-based team your role will include specifying and designing new features for their product and helping the product development and engineering teams manage their workflow and throughput.Role

  • Assist in the administration of backlogs and sprint boards using Azure DevOps
  • Assist the Product Development Director and Product Developer in capturing and expanding requirements from the business and external clients
  • Capture and detail Epics/User stories in Azure DevOps, following INVEST principles and acceptance criteria
  • Compile metrics and data on team performance and sprint progress for reporting back to the SLT and board.
  • Work closely with the clients Engineering Team to give them a clear understanding of what needs to be delivered
  • Using sessions such as 3 Amigos, document user stories and agree with the team
  • Participate in estimation sessions to understand the effort required to deliver the stories
  • Work with other members of the Product Development team plan and carry out User Acceptance Testing
  • As a part of the team effort, any of the above outputs should be shared with the Product Development Director and you will support with effective prioritisation of the backlog, providing recommendations based on your understanding
  • Support sprint planning by having all analysis ready and well defined
  • Collaborate with development teams to take ideas from concept to a solution, understanding any areas of risk, dependencies, compliance impacts or data requirements
  • Support the implementation and training of new features to their business-wide users.
Experience Required:
  • Ideally 1 year experience in a Junior BA or Analyst position (Data or Product or BA)
  • Experience with Azure Devops would be benefical but not essential
  • Jira
  • Completer Mentality - drive to understand things and follow them through to the end
  • Keen to learn
