Job Description

JHE & Partners are delighted to be working with a growing manufacturing in the Huddersfield area, who are looking for an experienced IT Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on candidate to be heavily involved in utilising and streamlining their current system.This role is to provide support and management of the in-house system but primarily overseeing their mainframe ERP system. The ERP software is pivotal to the daily operation of the business and its continuous availability and development is part of the future direction of the company.Responsibilities include

  • Support and continue development of SAP Business One systems in line with company needs and direction.
  • Support custom BoyumBPA processes and make improvements as needed.
  • Provide business process support and advice in line with SAP functionality.
  • Day to Day support of IT systems on site.
  • Mentor and manage an apprentice.
  • Support on-site equipment including server equipment and other IT services.
  • Manage and support remote workers in line with government recommendations.
  • Staff training on SAP Business One Systems and other systems where needed.
  • Liaise with 3rd party providers to ensure up-time and ticket resolution.
  • Recommend and implement new equipment and software in line with the company’s needs.
    • Experience:
  • SAP Business One. You will ideally have experience of either carrying out a successful implementation or have previously held a substantial role in a business where one has been carried out.
  • BOYUM. The customisation and BPA software is key to this role and the ability to support and develop the system using this tool is vital.
  • SQL. You should be proficient at carrying out Business Intelligence and BPA process writing using SQL as the database language.
  • Crystal Reports. This reporting program is used heavily in the SAP system.
  • Windows Server.
  • Office (various versions)
  • Networking infrastructure including Firewalls and wireless networking.
  • IP telephone systems. Avaya or similar systems
  • Desktop / Laptop equipment
  • Networked Printing
