This specialist manufacturer with international recognition for quality and service has a new role for a International Supply Chain Manager to play a pivotal role that really empowers the post holder to drive commercial initiatives that seek to achievecustomer satisfaction and seek to drive supply chain solutions.Providing excellent customer service at all times to internal departments and external customers. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the procurement and distribution of goods and services throughout the UK, Europe and Worldwide. Importing and exporting in line with business requirements/specifications and relevant legislation, documentation and shipping terms. The Supply Chain & Logistics Manager is a true end to end position that will manage the sourcing, selecting and purchasing of logistics, goods, materials, equipment, internal fleet vehicles, facilities, services and insurances to ensure the companys operationaland distribution needs are met. Taking into account price, quality and safe and effective distribution to ensure OTIF delivery and continuity of supply. Dual sourcing and building relationships with suppliers to source the most overall cost effective solutions. Negotiate contracts, serviceagreements to improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and hauliers. Overall summary of duties:*Liaise and communicate effectively with Sales, Production, suppliers and hauliers / freight forwarders to agree acceptable supply and delivery schedules to ensure orders are satisfied correctly and customer needs are met *Effective performance management and motivation of the team to achieve departmental KPIs*Identify new / alternative suppliers and negotiate to agree prices, quantities, delivery schedules *Work with Sales and Production teams to ensure OTIF supply*Ensure OTD AND OTIF of delivery of goods and materials*Plan a daily / weekly delivery schedule through effective management of supplier, staff and vehicle resources, adhering to relevant driving and transport legislation*Have responsibility for stock and inventory control*Have responsibility for Material Scheduling and Stock Fulfilment*Prepare and raise POs to the correct Incoterms*Agree order schedules to purchase goods, materials, components or services*Handle export and import documentation, working alongside the Export and Finance Teams to produce accurate invoices, packing lists, Letters of Credit, Bills of Lading, Airway Bills, Insurance Certificates, EUR1, C of Os and associated paperwork *Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues*Develop, create and maintain standardised framework, supply agreements and purchasing specifications *Logistics and Transport management: obtain Certificates of Conformance, MQC and MSDS. Maintain audit records, tracking and archiving various purchasing files and documentation regarding suppliers and product specifications. Responsible for ABG O Licenceand checking and compliance of driver Tacho hours*Review opportunities to make holistic business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
