Job Description

If this sounds like you, please read on to find out more about the Infrastructure Operations Analyst opportunity.What impact will you have in this role This is a fantastic opportunity to join our passionate and knowledgeable IT Shared Service Centre as Infrastructure Operations Analyst. This exciting role will see you perform administration and support activities on a variety of IT hardware, software applications and other equipment. The role also includes working a shift pattern to ensure schedules, overnight processing routines; backup schedules and system availability are optimised.As Infrastructure Operations Analyst, you will also be responsible for:

  • Maintaining optimum systems availability using automated tools and follow defined set procedures
  • Monitoring and taking action on active system alerts from a variety of applications and follow escalation paths
  • Performing system housekeeping routines out of normal trading hours to minimise downtime to our customer base, these are varied and a necessity of the role
  • Participating in the implementation of Software Releases on a number of servers and applications.
  • Resolving specific branch device problems and responding to IT related support issues as assigned within Service Level Agreements
  • Ensuring all system and data backups are complete within timescales and exceptions are remediated or escalated so as not to compromise our services

  • A good understanding of Windows and UNIX / Linux based systems
  • Experience with Backup software such as TSM and Netbackup
  • Well organised with the ability to schedule and work with minimum supervision as well as demonstrating initiative
