Our client is a well-established FMCG manufacturing business with an enviable client bank and ever increasing order book. The Health and Safety Executive / HSE Executive they appoint to their management team must see safety as paramount and always the first priority and be a real presence of the shop floor. The appointed Health and Safety Executive / HSE Executive will have responsibility for all health and safety activity for a multi-site manufacturing operation, in a fast paced environment. Due to recent growth the company have re-invested millions back into the business and own all premises/machinery. The appointed Health & Safety Executive must have a genuine passion for Health & Safety and an enthusiasm that instigates change. It isnt just paperwork for best practice, the larger part of the role is ensuring that best practice is practically implemented and enforced on the shop floor. Passion for health and safety and initiative are key qualities that this role requires.Health and Safety Executive Role and Responsibilities HSE Exec / EHS / QESH / IOSH / NEBOSH / Health / Safety / Manufacturing*Carry out risk assessments* Design, management and implementation of all health and safety policies* Ensure adherence to policies and procedures from shop floor to boardroom. Hands on approach* Carry out audits across a large manufacturing siteHealth and Safety Executive Skills and Abilities HSE Manager / EHS / QESH / IOSH / NEBOSH / Health / Safety / Manufacturing* NEBOSH or IOSH qualified* Previous experience working within health, safety and environment in a manufacturing environment* Experience of auditing* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
