  • Proven experience designing and developing native mobile applications and responsive websites
  • Hands on experience with markup languages (HTML5, CSS, Javascript)
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, such as React Native, Knockout.JS
  • In-depth knowledge of cross-browser and cross-devices (mobile, tablet, desktop) compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Familiarity with browser testing, debugging and using tools such as BrowserStack and BlueStack
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
  • Understanding of layout aesthetics, semantic web
  • Experience in developing applications that meet usability and accessibility best practices and guidelines
  • Knowledge of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS and LESS
  • An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
  • Experience in low-code solutions such as Mendix and the native mobile off-line first development
  • Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite, Photoshop
  • Experience in using prototyping tools like Axure, RP, Balsamiq mockup, Adobe XD
  • Agile software development process and project management (e.g. SCRUM)
What will I be doing in the roleWe are looking for a qualified Front-End Software Engineer to join our development team. You will be responsible for building the Client-Side of our web and mobile applications. The successful applicant will have the skills to translate our business initiativesinto functional, appealing, interactive applications.In this role you will;
  • Using markup languages like HTML to create accessible and usable responsive web and mobile applications
  • Maintaining and improving web applications
  • Optimising applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Collaborate with our software developers and UX/UI teams to deliver high-quality web and mobile applications
  • Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
  • Create quality mockups and prototypes
  • Ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency
Within this role, the type of projects you could be working on projects such as:
  • Avail developed for Android devices Van Stock mobile application
  • our business-critical applications
  • Build Aviator Project Calculators
