Job Description

This role seeks a Finance Manager who is proficient in commercial financial management, can lead a small finance team, implement new financial processes, and can confidentally communicate with and present financial information to board members and councilleaders. The successful candidate should be adept at managing financial resources, ensuring financial compliance, and contributing to strategic financial planning.Client DetailsOur client is a reputable organisation within the charity sector, specifically focused on providing support to carers in the local community. This role will be based at their Huddersfield office and will come with a generous employee benefits package anda supportive, friendly culture.Description

  • Budget setting, regular forecasting, and providing updates to key stakeholders
  • Presenting financial information to key stakeholders, including board members and external partners
  • Preparing monthly accounts, including P&L accounts per contract fund
  • Oversee transactional finance duties such as purchase ledger, credit and debit control, cash ledger, and payroll
  • Year end preparation and liaising with auditors
  • Managing a finance team of two
  • Improving and modernising financial processes and systems
  • Driving commercial decision making across the charity
ProfileA successful Finance Manager should have:
  • Comprehensive accountancy knowledge, including the ability producing month and year end accounts independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to collate, present & interpret information relating to financial performance
  • Good computer literacy, including MS Excel
  • All-round accounts knowledge, including transactional finance and payroll (desirable)
