Job Description

Taskmaster Resources, working with the University since August 2014 are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Administrator for 3 months work. Immediate start available and the contract may be extended. A working knowledge of the Agresso system wouldbe an advantageJob PurposeTo work within a small team of finance administrators & to assist & support the School Finance and Research Manager in providing an effective financial service for the School, ensuring that all University regulations are complied with.Main Duties and Responsibilities:1. To promote robust & efficient financial administration within the School.2. To provide assistance to the School Finance and Research Manager by regularly monitoring budgets to identify significant variances against budget levels.3. To assist with all financial processes undertaken by the School Finance & Research team, including but not restricted to, purchase order requisitions, sales order requisitions, expense claim forms, and print room requisitions.4. To manage the raising of sales invoices.5. Processing credit card payments and administration, collection and paying-in of miscellaneous income and administering of petty cash.6. To ensure staff expenses are submitted correctly and in line with the University’s financial regulations.7. To make bookings for conferences, hire cars, hotels, lunches and travel arrangements for staff as and when required.8. To negotiate prices, order goods and manage stock control in relation to stationery and office equipment.9. To provide financial information & expertise & clear financial reports/data as requested.10. To coordinate and manage the support of the School’s budget holders, giving advice on account statements, answering general enquiries and providing advice on financial procedures and systems.11. To plan and assist the School Finance and Research Manager in the coordination of year end procedures.12. To manage and assist with the collection of data and to answer queries during internal and external audits.13. To use competently & proficiently the University financial system, Unit 4, so that all School financial data is efficiently & accurately processed.14. To assist with the development & updating of procedures, protocols, & policy, ensuring that all financial transactions comply with the financial regulations of the University.15. To maintain excellent working relationships with both internal and external customer/co-workers.16. To undertake any other duty pertinent to the grade of the post that might be required at any time.To register for this role remotely candidates must have: UK or EU passport/Biometric Residence Permit, Home office share code (if applicable), proof of NI number other than a payslip and a bank statement for a UK bank account in their own name
