Candidates with a strong technical background with the ability to present and communicate at all levels are encouraged to apply. The role does involve UK travel including North and Scotland and will require some overnight stays during the working week.SALARY IS COMPETITIVE, MONDAY TO FRIDAY - 8.30AM - 5PM, CAR ALLOWANCE, PENSION SCHEME, UNIFORM, PPE, MOBILE PHONE, LAPTOP, 24 DAYS HOLIDAY PLUS BANK HOLIDAYS.Field Support Engineer Responsibilities:- Responsible for meeting daily customer support needs and driving customer satisfaction.- Provide customer training and follow up including on-site visits.- Carry out equipment demonstration, assistance with video documentation & prep for device manuals. - Preparation of field reports and documentation on a timely basis.- Review logs for open issues and prepare formal reports for customers as necessary.- Assist internal departments with technical and operational issues- Assess product/equipment performance based on field data; recommend modifications or improvements.- Provide technical support to customers and other service professionals as required.- Participate in site surveys and site meetings when required.Field Support Engineer Requirements:Essential:- The successful candidate must hold a relevant electrical/electronic engineering qualification to level 3 as a minimum. - Proven engineering background ideally with technical support or training experience.- Must have strong customer service skills and have the ability to interact confidently with customers and be able to provide training on equipment and products. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - IT literate - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Powerpoint.- Flexible approach to work hours, travel and staying away from home.- Full driving licence.Desirable: - Technical skills and knowledge of LV switchgear and automated power systems.- Experience of working on Low Voltage power systems (<1000V).- Hold - BS7671 17/18TH Edition certification.- Good project management skills and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.- Ability to program devices via supplied instructions, cables and software.Field Service Engineer Benefits:- Competitive salary.- Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm.- 24 days holiday plus bank holidays.- Car allowance.- Pension scheme.- Mobile phone, laptop, PPE and uniform.NOTE - Our client encourages applications from candidates from both commercial and ex-military backgrounds, Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force.
