Those taking part are often patients and families and, beyondthe need to raise income, it is often their way of giving back, saying thank you and ensuring others in their community can access the same care should they ever need to.Become our new Events Manager Youll lead a small events team (including an Events Assistant) in the full lifecycle of design, planning and delivery. There is already a varied events portfolio with an ambition to grow and diversify, and their aim can be to raise community awareness,to remember and celebrate, and to fundraise.Thats why this role is special. Its not just about delivering income - although of course, thats a part of it. Its about creating opportunities for The Kirkwood community to connect, feel good and make a contribution.Current events include The Kirkwood Memory Walk, Light Up A Life, Sunflower Memories and Treecycling, but youll also get to generate your own ideas and see those come to life.About youYouve already got experience as an Event Manager, but that doesnt necessarily need to be with a charity or in fundraising. We would welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills.Heres a list of the things wed love to see from you:

  • Full event cycle experience, from design right through to delivery.
  • Attention to detail - excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Brilliant people person, able to effectively engage and motivate a diverse range of people.
  • Manage budgets effectively and work collaboratively with external partners and suppliers.
  • Self-motivated, passionate and caring.
