Job Description

We are accelerating our plans to expand and build upon the talent within our existing experienced IT support team with two great opportunities to join them in our fast-growing E-commerce business. The successful applicants will provide the business withquality IT support across our offices and warehouses around the country, however you will be mainly based in our Huddersfield office.We are looking for two enthusiastic and extraordinary individuals to join our squad. Hours covered by the department are 7:00 to 19:30, with a working day of 8 hours. The team also provides support on Saturday/Sunday/Bank holidays on a rota basis.More about the RoleSkills needed for your day-to-day work include: Installation and maintenance of our computer network and hardware from the desktop to the server room. Travelling to and from our sites to carry out tasks on your own or with other team members. Full drivers license essential. Some physical work is essential such as relocating heavy IT equipment and desks. Handling day-to-day calls, emails, and other communications from users requesting desktop and home support. Managing our Asset Database system (Jira/Atlassian)Desirable experience Using PowerShell to process Exchange tasks and Active Directory/Exchange Management Centre to manage domain user accounts and systems. Knowledge and experience of Avaya phone systems. Configuration of VPNs and Firewalls. Configuration of printers within a domain environment, including advanced functionality such as Scan to Email and alert notifications.About You

  • The successful applicant will be proactive, passionate and experienced Desktop Support Technician/IT Engineer/ 1st Line Support Technician working within a multitasking environment.
  • Hands-on technical enthusiast, with an ongoing interest in technological developments.
  • Demonstrate positive attitude, great communication, the ability to problem-solve and respond to technical queries at all levels.
  • A team player with the ability to work on ones own initiative.
