Design EngineerHuddersfield (hybrid; 1 day on site)6-month contract Negotiable: £30 per hour PAYEAdvantage Resourcing are working in partnership with a prestigious manufacturing organisation operating within the automotive sector who are looking to hire a Design Engineer to work 1 day on site in Huddersfield.Summary:You will use PTC Creo Parametric 7 to develop 3D Models and 2D Drawings of turbocharger components and assemblies to the clients standards.On daily bases, you will:* Take the engineering aerodynamic profiles, develop turbocharger components to comply with customer space constraints (engine chassis pipework, etc) and other turbomachinery interfaces.* Work with the application, product life, cost, manufacturing processes, assembly, and service.* Likely to be experienced in casting design and with an understanding of varied machining processes.* Comprehend the basics of aerodynamic design and finite element stress analysis and be able to work collaboratively with the functions to result in a robust design solution.And a little bit more to take care of:* Apply technical expertise on complex components or projects with minimal supervision.* Translate customer technical profile and interface constraints into a practical component or assembly level model and drawing.* Integrate the aerodynamic designs into component design.* Apply technical knowledge to package designs into various installations.* Participate as a key contributor and be accountable for project success.* Demonstrate depth of knowledge of engineering discipline(s) and leverage expertise on other projects.* Troubleshoot complex problems and recommend appropriate actions.* Work collaboratively and proactively with other functions to ensure a robust design outcomePlease apply if you think you have the right skill set or ask for Lukas on quoting: 66559.
