Job Description

If you have CNC Programming experience and youre looking for a fantastic opportunity with a long standing, family run company, look no further!Were looking for an enthusiastic CNC Miller - Programmer/Setter/Operator to join the team at our modern Huddersfield site, on a full time, permanent basis, working the day shift4 days a week Mon-Thurs.In return, as our CNC Miller we will offer you pay of £15.60 per hour, plus bonus of up to 20%, plus excellent benefits including:- Overtime at £23.40 per hour (when available on Friday)

We are Thomas Brown Engineering, a family run company, established for 40 years. We manufacture high quality, high precision machined components to the food & drink, medical, industrial, automotive, and aerospace sectors. Our mission isto consistently deliver an exceptional, precision machining service and trusted technical support to each of our clients.Our CNC Milling department houses a wide variety of machines. We offer 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling. We also have robot loaded multi-tasking machining centres. This CNC Miller role would suit an experienced CNC programmer/setter/operator who enjoys variety in their work and is looking to further develop themselves whilst providing excellent service to our customers.Duties of our CNC Miller - Programmer/Setter/Operator:
  • Dedication to continuous improvements and our culture of lean
  • Programming CNC Machines from engineering drawings
  • Setting and operating the machines
  • Working to tight tolerances
  • Completing work logs and computerised tooling sheets
  • Work to our values of Teamwork, Respect, Honesty, Cooperation and Innovation
The type of CNC Miller - Programmer/Setter/Operator we look for:
  • 5 years CNC Programming experienceideally with Heidenhain control
  • Experience of working within a sub-contracting environment or good experience of high precision work
  • A team player who is flexible with a can-do attitude
  • The desire to offer the highest quality to our customers
