Job Description

A full time Catering Assistant position working for the NHS.Client DetailsPage Personnel are representing the NHS with multiple roles to join their estates department as Catering Assistants.DescriptionResponsibilities of the role include:

  • Assist clinical staff on the serving of food ensuring correct temperature and complete temperature control records
  • Ensure patients receive their correct nutritional requirements inc patients fasting/ special dietary arrangement (under guidance of nursing staff)
  • Serve beverages, collect cutlery and crockery for return to catering hub
  • Ensure pantry is clean at all time and check contents of fridge daily and record temps. Any action taken must be recorded and followed up in a timely manner. Documentation associated with this should be completed as required on each occasion
  • Record and monitor food wastage
  • Cleaning of all Facilities equipment used for food preparation and during food service
  • Working 37.5 hours a week over a 24/7 rota
    • ProfileCandidates wishing to apply should:
  • Hold a valid DBS
  • Be able to work a shift pattern
  • Great organisation skills
  • Previously worked in a similar role (desirable, not essential)

  • Immediate start
  • Weekly pay
  • £8.75 p/h basic pay
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 24/7 rota after first week
  • 2 months initially, with possibility of extension
