Job Description

As Business Systems Manager, you will play a and must be capable of turning business ideas into a solution design and to document and communicate this such that suppliers can build the required systems.Client DetailsMichael Page Technology are delighted to bring this newly created role to the market, supporting a large scale organisation with the appointment of a IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager.DescriptionWhat youll be doing:As Business Systems Manager, you will play a key role supporting supplier relations across Transport Management Systems (ERP) and must be capable of turning business ideas into a solution design and to document and communicate this such that suppliers canbuild the required systems. You should have strong testing capabilities whilst also managing the acceptance testing within the user departments. Additionally, you must be able to manage the supplier relationship and performance enabling the delivery of costeffective solutions which fit the needs of the business. A key part of the roll will be to integrate various solutions together and be capable to manage business to business data interchange with both customers and suppliers, so experience of this should bedemonstrated.ProfileKey Skills & Experience:Essential:

  • Experience with transport management and planning solutions or with ERP systems
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Good use of analysis and problem solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • Ability to turn ideas into solutions.
  • Be capable of managing multiple projects at the same time along with coping with changing priorities and requirements.
  • A strong background in delivering projects within costs and time scales.
  • Full driving license and passport (Occasional International Travel Required)
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of the transport and logistics industry.
  • Knowledge of integrating in-truck systems with transport management solutions.
  • Development and implementation of resource management and payroll systems.
  • Prince 2 Project Management trained or equivalent qualification or to be able to demonstrate a strong background in project management.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Proven ability to maintain high standards of decision making in a fast-paced changeable environment.
