Job Description

You’ll also manage and develop the existing merchant sector customer base, whilst targeting and bringing on board new stocking merchant customers.We offer a great opportunity to build your career in a market leading business, along with a competitive salary and excellent benefitsthat include 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, car/allowance, a great pension, life insurance and a share save scheme.What does the role involveAs a Business Development Manager, you will proactively drive sales of the Flex-R range of products in the region to achieve area sales targets, whilst managing key accounts and developing existing and new customers whilst driving local market penetration. You’ll identify, target and develop sales opportunities for assigned products, take responsibility for achieving sales budgets or assigned products and provide expert knowledge and support to customers, providing invaluable assistance in securing sales opportunities. The successful candidate will also provide training and undertake sales demonstrations across the product range, research new opportunities and keep up to date with the market and competitor products.The successful candidate will require:

  • Knowledge of flat roofing would be fantastic, but roofing in general would be good, with a proven track record in delivering results and financial targets
  • Excellent business, commercial and financial acumen, with a pragmatic, professional and enthusiastic approach
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, with strategic thinking, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with excellent communication skills
  • The ability to plan your workload and optimise journey plans to maximise efficiency as travelling is a large part of the role and this will involve overnight stays
  • Advanced IT Skills, especially in MS Excel and previous experience of CRM’s
  • Strong decision-making ability and successful sales management experience, with in depth knowledge and an understanding of and effective sales function and best practices
