Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Finance Department of a reputable non-profit organisation. This role will be leading the Accounts Team with all aspects of transactional finance, including accounts payable, accounts receiveable, and payroll.Client DetailsPage Personnel have partnered with a brilliant non-profit organisation who have an extremely positive impact on the local community. This charity works across a number of regions in the North and Midlands. This opportunity is a newly created opening, offering flexibility and development.DescriptionThe successful applicant will be responsible for leading the Accounts Team, performing all elements of transactional finance, a full monthly payroll service, and line management of the Finance Administrator(s).Duties will include:

  • Maintain computerised accounts with support staff (using Sage Line 200), including sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash book and nominal ledger;
  • Ensure accurate postings of all transactions including sales purchases, payments and receipts;
  • Chasing and reporting on outstanding debt;
  • Preparing and submitting bank payments and carrying out regular bank reconciliations;
  • Posting and preparing journals;
  • Managing a small team of Finance Administrators;
  • Preparing and processing a monthly payroll (using Sage Payroll);
  • Reconcile Gift Aid returns;
  • Supporting the Finance Director with additional duties and management accounts if required.
  • ProfileThe successful candidate will have:
  • All-round accounts experience across sales ledger and purchase ledger;
  • A knowledge of payroll procedures;
  • A good system knowledge, ideally including Sage software;
  • Previously worked in a supervisory or managerial role;
  • Previously worked in the charity sector (desirable, not essential);
  • Previously worked in an SME (desirable, not essential)
  • An AAT qualification (desirable, not essential)
