Thisrole will have responsibility for the nominal ledger, preparing monthly accounts and MI packs and owning balance sheet ensuring reconciliations are complete.What you will do:* Prepayments and Accruals Management: Taking ownership and effectively managing prepayments and accruals. * Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Performing accurate and meaningful balance sheet reconciliations, providing detailed explanations for any discrepancies, and taking necessary actions to rectify them. * VAT and CIS Returns: Handling the preparation and submission of Value Added Tax (VAT) and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns. * Fixed Asset Register Management: Managing the fixed asset register, which includes recording additions, disposals, and depreciation of assets. * Assistance with Monthly Management Accounts: Supporting the production of monthly management accounts by assisting in the necessary financial processes and contributing to the preparation and analysis of financial statements. Key competencies:* Proficient user of Microsoft 365 packages including Outlook and Excel (Excel to intermediate level)* Knowledge of financial tools* Excellent written & verbal communication skills * Ability to work well in a team* Proficiency with spreadsheet & accounting software programs* Excellent organisational skills* Good work ethic* Uses own initiative and is self-motivated, working without the need for supervision* Part Qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA/AATWhats in it for you:* 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)* Generous pension scheme* Cycle to work scheme* Healthcare and life assurance plans* Salary £27,000 - £30,000
